Christmas Beers

My lovely wife gifted me with a collection of individual beers for Christmas.  Her version of EPCOT around the world. Included in the batch were: Sapporo, Foster’s, Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA, Duvel, Geary’s Autumn Ale, Red Stripe and Fuller’s 1845.  Now I shall ramble on about them: Sapporo is nice and light, nice to relax with after doing some physical work.  Foster’s (the good old oil can) was a nice easy drinking beer, nothing too special.  Geary’s Autumn Ale what can I say, Geary’s is a great little brewery in Maine, I have not had a beer from them that I did not like.  Red Stripe, a lot of people like it, but I have yet to really see the specialty in it, A little different taste, but nothing I would go out and buy a case of.  Fuller’s 1845, this was a good beer, if I could afford to drink this on a regular basis I would.  Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA, says drink it now or drink it in a decade on the label, it’s just way too hoppy and has a way to long shelf life, I would not recommend this.  Finally Duval, comes in a corked bottle with yeast sediment on the bottom, I like this beer, good taste, good body, I typically enjoy these pint and half bottles with my Dad.  That’s all for now, thanks to my wife for making this beer tasting experience possible.
