Urban Horseshoes (aka Washers game)

Today I started making a test washer box.  First item to do was miter the side walls, they were done on the table saw, basically because my table saw is a lot better than my miter saw.  After all four sides were cut, the base was cut based on the dimensions of the four sides put together.  Fortunately the design measurements proved to be accurate and the base was nice and square.  Finally for the day I cut the PVC pipe for the center.  Cutting a 4 1/2 in. pipe is not the easiest thing to do without the proper tools.  The table saw cannot go high enough.  The miter saw can cut deeper, but not all the way through.  I decided to use the miter saw with the 200 tooth blade installed.  With a stop block installed, the two cuts needed to cut through the pipe were accurate enough that a small bit of sanding will make the two cuts unnoticeable.  Since I had the miter saw set up, I cut 5 additional pieces for a wine rack project (to be discussed another day).  I will try to get some pictures up in the up coming days.
